Who We Are
A Western Sydney team built on trust and consistency.
We're a small, close-knit team with deep roots in disability support and the local community. We do this because we care, not because it's a shift.
Our Story
Built by people who know what it feels like to not quite fit.
Empower started with two young guys. Both sixteen. Both still in school, technically, but not really there. Disconnected from it. Disengaged from most things. Not because they were difficult, but because nobody had found the right way in yet.
Their families were doing everything they could. But capacity runs out. Parents working, siblings to look after, life already full. What these two needed wasn't more pressure or another program ticking NDIS boxes. They needed someone with time. Someone with energy. Someone they could actually look up to and trust.
They needed to belong somewhere after the school bell rang.
That gap is where Empower came from. Not from a business plan. From two real young people who just wanted connection, consistency and a reason to show up. We built our programs around that. The structure, the team, the way we run every single session comes back to the same question: does this young person feel like they genuinely belong here? Because we've seen what happens when the answer is yes. They come back. They open up. They start to believe in themselves. And the families get to breathe a little.
"Any provider can run a program. We wanted to build something young people actually look forward to, somewhere they feel like they belong."
Rhys Attard, Co-DirectorWe are working toward full NDIS registration (target Q3 2026) and currently support self-managed and plan-managed participants across Western Sydney. All workers hold NDIS Worker Screening clearances, Working with Children Checks and current first aid certifications.
Why We Exist
Our purpose, vision and mission.
To give young people the confidence, structure, and support they need to find their place, socially, emotionally, and in everyday life.
Young people who once felt on the outside feeling capable, connected, and supported enough to move forward in life.
We create safe, consistent spaces where young people feel they belong and continue showing up until they begin to believe in themselves.
The Empower Journey
We walk with young people for life.
Most providers work in snapshots. We are built for the full story, from first friendships at age 7 all the way to confidence, independence and a life that is genuinely theirs.
First friendships, regulation and belonging. Young people discover they have a place and people who are genuinely glad they showed up.
Confidence, identity and community. Teens build a circle, find their voice and start to believe the future is actually open to them.
Independence, life skills and transition. Young adults build the routines, relationships and self-belief to step more fully into the world.
Employment, enterprise and a self-determined life. This is where we are heading, walking participants all the way to the finish line.
How We Work
Six things we hold ourselves to.
Show Up Properly
On time, prepared and present. Every session, every time.
Earn Trust Through Consistency
Trust is built by showing up the same way, session after session.
Lead by Example
Our workers model the behaviour and confidence we want to build in participants.
Speak Up Early
If something is not working, we say so early. No surprises.
Keep Getting Better
We reflect after every session and look for ways to improve.
Build Belonging
Every participant should feel they genuinely belong here.
Transparency
What we don't provide.
We want families to have a clear picture of what Empower does and does not offer. Being honest about our scope is part of how we build trust.
If you need any of these supports, we're happy to point you in the right direction. We'd rather connect you with the right provider than try to be something we're not.
